NEW! Facility Strategy Course: Essentials
■Course Content■
【1】What is facility strategy?
This course provides an overall understanding of facility strategy, the fundamental concept for utilizing architecture as a "management tool." Students will learn not just about building a building, but also about the strategic perspective of how space can contribute to the growth of an organization and the realization of its vision.
【2】Grand Design Step 1
As the first step in incorporating management policies into spatial planning, students will learn methods for organizing and classifying the roles and significance of bases. They will review the current layout and location and unravel the relationship between management strategies and bases by asking the question, "Why is it there?"
【3】Grand Design Step 2
This course teaches how to reorganize existing bases, and how to evaluate and prioritize them based on management issues. It also develops the ability to objectively assess the function and value of each base, taking into account risk analysis and future prospects.
【4】Grand Design Step 3
You will learn how to determine the direction and specific plans for a facility from the perspective of overall optimization. You will gain a deep understanding of the process of converting an abstract management vision into a concrete space plan.
【5】Grand Design Case Studies
Through actual case studies, you will learn specific ways to utilize the grand design and key points for project promotion. By learning specific examples of on-site innovations and problem-solving that are difficult to see through theory alone, you will further deepen your understanding.
【6】Basic Plan
Students will learn the role and importance of the "master plan" when proceeding with the design based on the grand design. They will understand the basic ideas and structure for concretizing the spatial concept and establishing the direction of the project.
【7】Examples and summary of basic plans
This course systematically organizes the flow from strategy to design through actual examples of master plans. As a summary of the entire series, it organizes the knowledge learned so far and solidifies an image of practical application of facility strategies.
